In addition to Poland, the Czech Republic, Russia, the Ukraine, Hungary and Slovakia, Mortimer has tapped into yet another market in Eastern Europe!

Raluca Apavaloae is planning to open her first Mortimer language school in Bucharest before the end of this year. The 30 year-old Romanian first made contact with the Mortimer headquarters in January 2011 and travelled to Germany in March to meet the Mortimer team.

“In most cases this process can easily take several months”, says Lucila Wiepen, who is in charge of international franchise applications. “Her motivation and commitment to this project is fascinating.”

Raluca Apavaloae was accompanied by her husband on the trip to Germany – the couple are expecting their second child in May. After a short break for maternity leave they aim to get their business moving right away – opening their first language school in Bucharest, which is likely to be up and running by the beginning of September.

The managing directors and the rest of the Mortimer team are looking forward to a fruitful and enjoyable collaboration with our new Franchise Partner and wish her great success in her new and exciting challenge.
